On Tuesday we got to go on a field trip to Pineland Farms to learn about how cheese is made and visit the cows. We had lots of fun and some of us even got a kiss from a cow! The children also had the opportunity to milk a cow if they wanted to. I think my favorite part was getting to try the cheese at the end. Here are some pictures I snapped on the adventure!
During Reading Workshop we:
- Kept working on getting exciting about reading
- Had Mrs. Caron remind us how to use the reading strategy Eagle Eye (Looking at the picture for clues)
- Looked for patterns in our books to help us read the words
During Writing Workshop we:
- Practiced word spaces
- Choose a title that makes sense for our writing
- Continued working on pattern books
- Fancied up our work by adding more words and details to our pictures
During Everday Math we:
- Practiced writing our numbers
- Started new math stations
- Worked on adding one to a number
